Attorney Drew Wagner-Weir and law clerk (now attorney) Grace Bransen completed a binding arbitration with a total victory on behalf of a local airport. A contractor demanded arbitration against the airport and sought to recover hundreds of thousands of dollars in damages. The airport denied liability and served a cross-claim seeking disgorgement of all amounts paid to the contractor, because the contractor was not licensed. The arbitrator ruled entirely for the airport, completely denied the contractor’s claim, and awarded the airport over $620,000 in damages and attorney fees.
