James L. Bothwell

James Bothwell’s practice is primarily focused on complex construction, real estate, general liability, insurance, and business litigation. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2006 and his Juris Doctorate, with distinction, from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 2009. Following law school, Mr. Bothwell clerked for the Hon. Frank Damrell in the United States District Court, Eastern District of California.

Mr. Bothwell represents several of the nation’s largest, publicly-traded builders and insurance carriers in a variety of construction, casualty, land use, and real estate-related disputes. In addition to his litigation experience, he is a member of the Building Industry Association and the Construction Law Section of the Sacramento County Bar Association.
